Brandon Moreno is another big name ambassador for Roobet, and one of the top flyweights in the world. He finds himself squarely in the spotlight right now as everyone waits in anticipation for his latest visit to the octagon!
The Assassin Baby is to face his long-term rival, Deiveson Figueiredo, and for the fourth time at that! Each time these two warriors cross paths, tits for the flyweight champion title.
The two met in December 2020 for the first time at the main event of UFC 256. Their first match ended in a majority draw after a 25-minute-long, back-and-forth barnburner between the two, making Joe Rogan yell in disbelief: “This is crazy!”
Then there was the first rematch on June 12th of 2021.
Determined not to give his rival a chance to fight back, Moreno jumped him, and refused to let go until the end. This takedown by submission earned Brandon the title of flyweight champion, ending the fight in the very first round!
Fast forward to the January of 2022, and we have the two rivals facing off once again. They put up another spectacular fight, displaying fighting prowess for the full 25 minutes before a somewhat controversial decision of the judges to name Figueiredo the champion.
It’s not going to be any different this time. Between the tangible rivalry and the flyweight champion’s title up for grabs, it’s not an overstatement to say that everyone is looking forward to seeing the two fighters testing their mettle once again!
As of right now, the odds are currently leaning in Brandon Moreno’s favor, putting him in a slightly better position than Deiveson Figueiredo. It’s a close call, and anyone's guess as to who will take the title! What we do know, and that is who we’ll be rooooting for at the top of our lungs!
