Another big UFC Fight Night is just around the corner and Mr Roo couldn’t be more hyped about it . With good reason too!, Since another one of our Roobet brand ambassadors, Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera will be squaring off against Dominick Cruz, and he’s been pretty vocal about how it’s all set to be a night of ‘total destruction’.
Our boy, Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera (21-7-1, 7 KO’s, 8 Submissions) will take on Cruz aka “The Dominator” (24-3-0, 7 KO’s, 1 Submission) in the Pechanga Arena in San Diego for the very first time, where the two will battle it out in the bantamweight headliner in an attempt to clinch the championship title. Both fighters have displayed tremendous skill in the past, but it seems like bookmakers are favoring Vera for the win.
“I just see it as total destruction,” Vera expressed regarding his upcoming face-off against Cruz. “How? When? I don’t know what round. Who cares? But he’s going to be down and I’m going to move forward.”
Considering the tension out of the ring between these two in the past, we’ll be on the edge of our seats to find out who will finally claim victory on the night.
Apart from Vera and Cruz headlining the action, this UFC Fight Night will also see Alexa Grasso taking on Viviane Araujo in the Women’s Flyweight Co-main event and Devon Clark facing off against Azamat Murzakanov in the Light Heavyweight Bout.

This fight has been a long time coming, with Vera attempting to challenge Cruz for almost a year. “The Dominator” however, wasn’t interested given that “Chito” ranked below him in Bantamweight. But after rising up to the No 5 spot after dominating Rob Font last April, Cruz had to settle for being left in his dust at No. 8.
This will also mark Cruz’s first fight of the year and the two-time UFC champion must contend with Vera’s three-fight winning streak, as well as the fact that he’s finally surpassed him in rankings. Before facing off against Font, Vera also proved his worth in the ring after demolishing both Frankie Edgar and Davey Grant and having been successful in four of his last 5 fights at the Octagon.
Meanwhile, Cruz will find himself on familiar ground, given his base in San Diego. Following his most recent defeats of Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz, the Alliance MMA standout looks more than ready for the five-round showdown.
